Symptoms Caused by Congestion of Lungs
A patient with CHF and congested lungs may have one or more of the following symptoms:
- Shortness of breath during exertion
- Use of extra pillows during sleep
- Inability to lay flat because of breathing difficulties
- Sudden or severe shortness of breath during the night
- Severe shortness of breath due to edema (fluid buildup) of the lungs
